偶像變身三部曲之 偏見 ( 一 )

一開始對"Blur"的音樂產生興趣，完全是因為最近重聽了 Trainspotting Soundtrack 意外發現其中竟然收錄了兩首"Blur"的歌曲 (其中一首是主唱 Damon Albarn 的solo)，因而引發我對他們的好奇。

一直以來，在我心裡是有點排拒排行榜上的歌曲，所以Blur也曾經是我的拒絕往來戶...
（我承認有時自己就是有點小固執和偏見）

遲至兩周前，我終於將CD櫃底層這張塵封已久的"The Great Escape"拆開，這才驚覺這張專輯不知已經躺在CD櫃底層有多少年了？可憐的是它竟然還原封不動的連膠膜都未曾脫下。

然而，這使我想起自己擁有這張專輯的經過，這其中的原因完全是一種貪小便宜的誤會一場..

了解我的人應該知道我不會花錢買Pop Music，這張專輯其實是以前唱片宣傳送給電台打歌專用的宣傳品，也是某天我在資料室找CD時不小心的發現。

聽前輩們說，當年唱片公司有多給電台幾張Blur宣傳用的CD，而它早已過了時效性（反正就是過時的舊宣傳帶），於是我這菜鳥DJ本著不拿白不拿的心態而默默的接收了它。但是拿了這張專輯之後又感覺自己實在興緻缺缺，結果一直又它晾在一旁完全忘了它的存在..( I am sorry !)

雖然因為自己的狹隘心態以至比別人晚了好多年才注意到Blur在音樂上的開努力，但是好音樂是經得起時間的考驗，這十多天來，我每天花好幾個鐘頭仔細聆聽他們的每一張的創作，努力亟欲了解他們一路走來歷經的種種改變與轉折...

然而對他們了解越深反而也更加欣賞他們，我看著曾經被視為偶像團體的他們（純指媒體炒作及包裝而言）認真努力對待音樂的一面，真是很令人感動！

即便我曾經忽視他們，但是現在我用加倍的心情努力了解以彌補過去對他們的偏見。

開心的是，我從他們一張張的專輯作品中發現他們對音樂其實是非常有想法的，這和一般偶像派團體或藝人完全不同...

我甚至覺得Blur把音樂玩的相當高明，尤其他們在專輯"13"中裡一連大膽實驗了各式音樂，實在令人讚歎。
或許很多人跟我ㄧ樣，初見到"Blur"剛出道時的包裝和造型，難免將他們視為與時下偶像男孩團體同一level，而且也可能因為自己的主觀偏見進而與好音樂失之交臂..
這是我從"Blur"身上學到的事。

當"Blur'脫掉偶像外衣的同時，是不是也讓大家更清楚看到他們對音樂的熱愛與企圖心？

誰說偶像不能擁有好作品？
只要願意擺脫偶像的包袱，然後更大膽恣意的創作出內心所嚮往的音樂，
這何嘗不是一種蛻變？
