Something about Cocteau Twins ~ 2

提到 Cocteau Twins 就不能不來聊聊被咱們尊稱為華語天后的王菲。
因為我個人接觸 Cocteau Twins 在先，於是王菲(或稱王靖雯)的出現，只讓我有似曾相識的感覺，因而也少了一份驚豔的喜悅，畢竟我本身還是最愛原汁原味的原創作品。


剛出道的王菲絕大多數以翻唱作品為主，打從1989年王菲在香港推出的第一張專輯《王靖雯》時，其中一曲 "多得他" 就是翻唱自瑞典歌手 "Karyn White" 的"Super Woman"。至於"冷戰"則翻唱自 "Tori Amos" 的"Silent All These Year"。

在王菲翻唱所有的外國歌曲當中最有名的要數算是"夢中人"了，而這首歌翻唱自愛爾蘭樂團 "Cranberries" 的歌曲 "Dream"，也因為王菲的知名度,意外讓小紅莓樂團紅遍全亞洲。
而王菲翻唱最多的歌曲當屬蘇格蘭獨立天團 "Cocteau Twins" 的創作。
其中" 知己知彼 " , " 分 "，" 掃興 "， " 胡思亂想 " 等都是翻唱自 Cocteau Twins 的作品，不只如此,王菲不論在唱腔或氛圍所刻意營造的迷離感，可以說完全和C.T.的女主唱 Elizabeth Frazer 如出一轍。

在1996年 Cocteau Twins 推出專輯" Milk and Kisses "時，其中一曲 "Serpent Skirt" 便邀來王菲一起合作演繹。

不過 Cocteau Twins 終究逃不過解散的命運，他們在1998年宣布解散。
