事實上,我沒來得及參與Punk Rock的輝煌年代,
當我認識The Clash時,他們已經解散了!
雖然時間已經過了很久,
但是我還是忘不了第一次從radio show 聽到The Clash時心裡所受的震撼!
還記得那次的節目DJ很用心的花了一個鐘頭的時間,
介紹了The Clash成軍以來的幾張專輯裡的精選曲~
當時,聽到Joe Strummer用著幾乎控訴的聲音吶喊著"London Calling"的那一刻,
我感到全身的血液都沸騰了!
真的很感謝DJ Skin把這麼棒的團體介紹給大家,
算是開啟了本人與Punk Rock之間的起源~
時隔多年,當我漸漸遠離過去那段叛逆的青春歲月,
感歎過去的一切或許像風一般消逝無蹤,
卻在毫無預期的情況下,再度與The Clash的音樂交會~
出乎意料的,存在內心的那份慷慨激昂,
完全沒有因為時間的流轉而有任何改變,
當時情緒之激動,甚至更勝以往...
還記得幾年前我去看了電影"舞動人生"..
電影進行到中場時,一個既熟悉又震撼的音樂忽然響起,
在vocal還未來得及下第一個音的同時,
我的眼淚卻已奪眶了...
聽著Joe Strummer唱著"London Calling to the faraway towns..."
那時的我,甚至分不清楚自己的眼淚到底是因為啥事而流?
是有感於劇中那個追尋夢想的小男孩付出的的努力嗎?
還是為了電影中的那些礦區的貧困勞工階級的真實人生而悲傷..
或許更多的眼淚是因為感歎自己再也回不來的的美好時光吧!
雖然歲月會消逝,但是人的記憶卻永遠不會抹滅,
內心的震撼與激動也不會因為時間的阻隔而有任何的減損!
即使Joe Strummer已在2002年離開人間,但是他對音樂所做出的貢獻,
卻是永遠留在搖滾樂的歷史上以及所有搖滾樂迷的心中!

近幾年來，英美樂壇充斥住一大班自稱Punk的搖滾樂隊。喊的卻都不是反建制，素食主義和性別平等，而是一堆戀愛和自嘲的口號。究竟這是破格，抑或是墮落呢？但對於我而言，我還是喜愛那一票熱血，睡前飯後都要喊一句無政府主義的Punk。
在舊式Punk Rock裡，大家可能都只會留意到「性手槍」這一團人，而忽略了「衝激」- The Clash。論樂曲的多元化，他們可是技勝一籌。不過歷史終歸歷史，現在我們仍然能執住這張經曲，幻想當日鬧翻天的Punk革命情景。老天算是不薄The Clash和我們了。不錯！God save the Clash。 (摘錄至"音樂雜誌"by Phaedrus )
